Temporary piling works 30th July

We want to make you all aware that we have to implement additional sheet piling as temporary works to enable us to excavate the main core area to the basement level.
Due to the depth of the excavation these are being implemented to support the sides of the excavation whilst the works progress at both the basement and ground floor levels concurrently.
They are being installed with the same sheet piling rig and will take 10 days to install, however we don’t anticipate that the sheet piling will be as much as a nuisance compared to the previously installed ones due to the length being reduced to 10.5m, there is no requirement to use the drop hammer, the type of sheet pile being used is also a slightly different gauge and profile (Larsen GU21N) therefore more robust and a 4m leader trench will be excavated to assist the installation.
The anticipated start date for the sheet piling is the 30th July.
