Cask Store Progress
Posted on October 14, 2016
Part of the historic brewery buildings, The Cask Store is an impressive residential construction. When complete it will add to the energetic feel of the area with 38 contemporary 1 and 2 bed apartments.
The steel frame and stonework restoration is nearly complete and we’ll soon finish tiling the roof. At the same time the construction team will begin to install the Critall windows to the Floating Harbour elevations. These are the finest windows on the market, with slim contemporary frames that will complement the curved stone façade perfectly. The courtyard elevationsare progressing well, with the insulated render complete to half of this elevation and consequently the scaffold has been partly taken down. The crane will also be removed shortly. We’re also making great strides with the inside of each apartment, with over 40 site operatives on this site every day and inspections by the Premier Guarantee warranty surveyors progressing well.
Jonathan James of the Bush Consultancy: “It’s been a busy time over the last few months working with the developer to complete the design of each apartment. Each apartment is unique, which has meant that we have had to overcome certain layout challenges. However, I’m very pleased with the result, which has delivered apartments of quality and efficiency. I’m sure each buyer will be pleased too.
