A new cheese and cider market is coming to Finzels Reach in Bristol
Posted on October 16, 2018
Cheese and cider lovers, rejoice – because a market devoted to these two glorious indulgences is coming to Bristol this month.
The weekly Finzels Reach Market is hosting a special cheese and cider edition as part of its regular street food market on October 19, and it sounds seriously delicious. The event will feature two of Bristol’s finest independent producers, as both the Bristol Cheesemonger and the Bristol Cider Shop will be showcasing their wares and offering advice.
The Bristol Cheesemonger will be selling a number of West Country cheeses for customers to try and purchase, such as traditional Somerset cheddar and brie and Cornish yarg, while the Bristol Cider Shop will be dishing out samples of cider and perry produced in the region. There will also be plenty of cheesy street food on the day, including grilled cheese sandwiches from For Mice and Men, Alpine-inspired mac and cheese from Alp Mac and Philly cheesesteaks from NYEats.
Sophie Bowden, Finzels Reach market director, said: “After the success of ‘Beer and Bread’ in June as part of Bristol Food Connections, we thought it would be fun to bring another food and drink theme to the market and to give our customers a real taste of the West Country.
“We’re blessed to be surrounded by so many talented cider and cheese makers that we wanted the opportunity to showcase such wonderful local produce at the market.”
The Cider and Cheese Market takes places as part of the regular Finzels Reach Market on Friday October 19, from 12-2pm.
