Channel 4 has announced its new Bristol Creative Hub is now open at Finzels Reach.

The team is based in the historic Fermentation Buildings, which are part of the rich brewing history at Finzels Reach, Bristol’s flourishing new waterfront quarter. They have been home to several famous breweries over the years, most recently Courage Brewery before it closed in the 1990s.

Developer Cubex paid careful attention to restoring the heritage buildings before handing over to Channel 4 to complete their fit-out.

Peter Walford, director at Bristol-based Cubex, says: “A huge welcome to the Channel 4 team! We wish them all the very best in their new offices. We’re immensely proud they have chosen to locate their new Creative Hub at Finzels Reach,  joining the likes of Historic England, English Heritage and creative studio OUTLAW in the Fermentation Buildings.”

Channel 4’s new Creative Hub in Bristol is a base for key creative decision makers, supporting the company’s relationship with the production sector – with a particular focus on genres strongly represented in the South West, Wales and Midlands.  Commissioning departments represented in the new Creative Hub in Bristol include: Drama, Factual, Popular Factual – as well as Creative Diversity, supporting on and off-screen diversity.   It also has additional supporting operational roles.
