Independent brewery Left Handed Giant is opening its much-anticipated new brewpub at Finzels Reach this week.
Teaming up with Bristol-based pizza pop-up Mission Pizza, Left Handed Giant is launching its new venture from 5pm on Thursday, June 13, in the waterside quarter’s Compressor Building.
The ground floor of Compressor Building has been returned to its former use as a fully operational and cutting-edge brewery. Alongside, there will be a brewpub, where visitors can relax and enjoy the freshly brewed beers in a modern, urban-style bar.
Built as mezzanine levels, the first and second floors of Compressor Building will feel connected to the rest of the space with open views from each floor to the brewery and brewpub below.
The vegetarian wood-fired pizza offering will be Mission’s first permanent site, having spent the last two and a half years serving pizzas from their 1950s-style teardrop caravan at events around the South West.
Gavin Bridge, executive director at Cubex, the developer behind Finzels Reach, said: “It’s hugely exciting that Left Handed Giant is opening its new brewpup at Finzels Reach this week, a neighbourhood that’s poised to become a new hotspot for Bristol’s social scene. With a popular weekly street market, lively street scene and nearly 2,500 people soon to be living and working in the area, it’s great to see this new part of Bristol already emerging as a new destination for the city.”
The Compressor Building was sold to the brewery by Cubex in April.
