LEFT HANDED GIANT OPENS NEW BREWPUB AT FINZELS REACH

The instantly-recognisable Compressor Building overlooking the Floating Harbour has been turned into a new hotspot for Bristol’s social scene, alongside The Fermentation Buildings and Well Head building.
It is part of the rich brewing history at Finzels Reach, which has been home to several famous Bristol breweries over the years, most recently Courage brewery.
Independent brewery Left Handed Giant has opened its much-anticipated new brewpub at Finzels Reach.
The ground floor of Compressor Building has been returned to its former use as a fully operational and cutting-edge brewery, where Left Handed Giant ferments its selection of modern, progressive beers on site. Alongside, there is a brewpub, where visitors can relax and enjoy the freshly brewed beers in a modern, urban-style bar.
Built as mezzanine levels, the first and second floors of Compressor Building feels connected to the rest of the space with open views from each floor to the brewery and brewpub below. Bristol-based pizza pop-up Mission Pizza has teamed up with Left Handed Giant to provide the food offering in the brewpub. The vegetarian wood-fired pizza offering is Mission’s first permanent site, having spent the last two and a half years serving pizzas from their 1950s-style teardrop caravan at events around the South West.
